Sophie Bello has been part of the Park & Grove team for almost four years, growing within the restaurant from server to bartender to Assistant General Manager. Her journey through every layer of service has shaped her approach to leadership, grounded in empathy, teamwork, and true hospitality.
What draws Sophie to the hospitality industry is the opportunity to connect. She loves meeting new guests each day, exchanging stories, and building relationships with regulars over time. Welcoming someone back, remembering their favorite dish, or hearing an update from their last visit are the moments that make the work personal and meaningful.
In her current role, she especially enjoys collaborating on menu and event design projects and helping organize the restaurant’s local vendor markets. Her favorite dish is the Ricotta Gnocchi, topped with country fried mushrooms that bring texture and richness to every bite. Behind the bar, she gravitates toward the Queen Bee made with house-infused brown butter gin, a cocktail that perfectly reflects the creativity of the beverage program.
Sophie believes sharing seasonal menu changes is one of the most exciting parts of welcoming guests to the table. With a menu centered around seasonal produce, there is always something new to introduce and celebrate.
A Charleston native who grew up in the Wagner Terrace neighborhood that Park & Grove calls home, Sophie takes special pride in welcoming neighbors and visitors alike into a space built on genuine hospitality and community connection.
