Shawn Taft

Sous Chef

Shawn Taft, one of our Sous Chef's, has been up and coming in the restaurant world since the early 2000s and we are so lucky to have him on our team! From upstate New York he slowly started making his way South after starting one of his first culinary jobs in Manchester, Vermont. He then moved to Highlands, NC to work at the Edwards Inn and Spa at Madison's Kitchen as their Sous Chef for four years. During his time in Highlands, he met his wife Heather, a local pastier and Pastry Chef at Edmond's Oast. After they took a vacation to Charleston for what they thought would be a short trip, they decided to make the leap and move here on a whim! Soon after the move, Shawn got a job at Peninsula Grille where he met current Executive Chef, Ramon Taimanglo. This dynamic duo has been working together for the last eight years and continue to create and elevate one of a kind, melt in your mouth dishes as we eat, drink, & move with the seasons at Park & Grove.
